Intermediate Summer Strings with Lauren Garza

Grades 6-8 with 1 year experience playing strings

June 16 and 23, July 14 and 21, and August 4 and 11, 2:30-4 pm

Designed for students with 1–2 years of playing experience entering grades 5–8, this class is a great way to grow as a musician and make new friends!

Each week, students will sharpen their skills and learn new techniques to take their playing to the next level. The focus is on making music together—exploring new pieces and developing confidence in small ensemble settings, including opportunities to lead.  Violin and viola instruments are available for use during the class if needed.  Cello and Bass not provided.

Diseñada para estudiantes con 1-2 años de experiencia musical que ingresan a los grados 5-8, esta clase es una excelente manera de crecer como músico y hacer nuevos amigos. Cada semana, los estudiantes mejorarán sus habilidades y aprenderán nuevas técnicas para llevar su interpretación al siguiente nivel. El enfoque está en hacer música juntos: explorar nuevas piezas y desarrollar confianza en pequeños ensambles, incluyendo oportunidades de liderazgo. Habrá violines y violas disponibles para usar durante la clase si es necesario. No se proporcionan violonchelos ni contrabajos.
